For the supply/demand of electric energy, the raised problem is to the supply qualified electricity to users safely and confidentially. Accordingly, it is earnestly required to analyze the quality of electricity and to find the cause of fault obstructed confidence by rapid analysis of them. Power System Dynamics Monitor, PSDM-TS is the General Power Analysis System which has such functions, and acquire the time-synchronized data using GPS and store each parameter with mutual comparison by on-line transmitting it in real time.

Moreover, PSDM-TS furnish the optimum solutions for the status analysis of power system which have unctions to analyze cause of fault by recording fault status and operating conditions of each protection devices when the power system has fault, and to forecast accident and system fluctuation by detecting, analyzing and estimating the previous data at fluctuation and unstable conditions of power system.

Real time monitoring
  • Analog data monitoring : Can be monitored max. 32 channels at the same time.
  • Channel values are displayed to graphic type trend and text type showing with phase.
  • Graphic trend display : Max. 8 channels at the same time. Past trend can be shown for over I minute.
  • Digital monitoring : Can be monitored max. 64 channels at the same time.
P,Q,V,f monitoring
  • Designate voltage/current channel consisted of power line, and monitor the effective power, reactive power, positive-phase component voltage phasor and frequency.
  • For the effective/reactive power, bus positive-phase component voltage and frequency, monitoring is to display visually as to real time trend, text and bar graph. Effective/reactive power can be monitored it's volume as well as power factor.
  • Real time trend consists of effective/reactive power, positive-phase component voltage and frequency which are identified by each particular colors, and past trend can be monitored for over 1 minute.
Device history monitoring
  • Stored every events by each time for the starting of PSDM-TS.
  • When the device has any errors or problems, it can be found easily by this functions.
  • Inform clearly control details of device by network, as it has logging functions to be connected with network.
  • As basic details of each trigger are stored, past data acquiring history can be known easily.
Trigger function
  • Upper/Lower limit starting : Starting if it has out of upper/lower limit designated by user for the voltage, current, effective/reactive power and frequency. After user select upper or lower limit starting for each elements, it has starting at setting value designated for each elements.
  • Change starting : Starting if it exceed range of change rate and number of time designated by user for the voltage, current, effective/reactive power and frequency.
  • Swing starting : Starting if effective/reactive power exceed changed volume and number of time provided by moving average within given cycle.
  • Event change starting : Starting if event contact has changed.
  • Remote starting : Starting if device is required trigger option from remote host.
  • Manual starting : Starting if user push the button of manual function.
  • User enable to set up optionally for the operation of every starting.
Analysis of fault wave form
  • Stored fault record can be reproduce as to instantaneous and effective value for the all channel of analog and digital at the same time.
Analysis of symmetrical component
  • Based on consisted feeder, vector diagram can be reproduced for the 3 phase voltage, current at phasor value and phase plane.
  • Symmetrical component value and unbalance rate of 3 phase voltage/current can be displayed by moving the Mouse.
  • Without separate operation of user, max./min./average value and its occurred time of followings can be displayed immediately and printed out by simple Mouse handling.

Harmonics analysis
  • Perform harmonics analysis using FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) for the above 3 channels, up to 15 channels, among the channels of device.
File conversion
  • Can convert to Comtrade file type of IEEE which is possible to simulated test of actual system using stored fault record.
  • For the all analog value, PQVf value and analysis value of stored fault record, it can convert to data sheet file by each time same as Excel file.

Data transmission

  • On-line transmission : Device can be connected with 3 place at the same time, and transmit analog, digital data acquired from site for over 1 time per 100ms.
  • Off-line transmission : Record fault data with highest priority if occurred fault at site, and transmit it by host to communication section except on-line communication. Moreover, set-up information to operate device can be transmitted by comm.
  • Communication port : Provide LAN port to acquire information through local PC and possible to acquire information through Ethernet.
